A Charmed Life

A Charmed Life

A Charmed Life

My sister Leah gave me a small envelope the day I left Victoria with orders that it be opened the following day. This charm and note is what that envelope contained. My eyes strained through tears as I read that little note over and over.

Leah and Nani are my shoreside support team. They have the hardest job in all this. I just have to sail the boat. Without them, and the rest of my family, the 5 Capes would be a dream and not a reality.

Leah, (aka Slaya Patra) by the way, was named Most Valuable Blocker at the Belle’s of the Brawl last international derby match held at Port Angeles, WA. Highly recommended you don’t stand in her path lest she bowl you over. Her league, The Eves of Destruction logo is part of my journey as represented on the mast!

In weather like today having a fellow partner would make the difference of the world.

Heavy weather conditions are great only when you have enough energy to enjoy it. I wish you the time of your life.
