It isn’t all white knuckle waves and wind gusts strong enough to pluck the hairs from head. Some days are just, well, just grand.

It doesn’t look like it, but the swell is running at 12-14 feet. There are, however, whole city blocks between crests.

Given the above, touch a mast, scratch a stay and turn three times, Tuesday I am in for a genuine, down-home, 45S whoopin’. It’s that and Cape Horn or go home. Looks like a whoopin’ is officially on the menu…
