Low Blow

Low Blow

Low Blow

While working out a weather strategy for the next week with John Bullas, I punned low blow as Seaburban seems the plaything of calms and gales.

John remarked that it could the kernel of a sea chanty. One thing led to another and he and I will be performing this song when I arrive back home.

It may well be the start of my singing career but I am almost certain it will be the end of John’s. He has a beautiful rich voice whereas I sing like a stone flies.

Here are the song lyrics:

Low Blow

Chorus
The lows they blow, low blow low blow, the lows they blow low blow

The winds they howl, the seas they build
The lows they blow low blow

The rigging moans, the sails they crack
The lows they blow low blow

The sailors curse, the mates they roar
The lows they blow low blow

The timbers creak, the masts they bend
The lows they blow low blow

The masts they whip
And once the turn
And not again, the seas I’ll sail
The lows they blow low blow

The bows they have, the rails they bury
The lows they blow low blow

The farther south, the weather worsens
The lows they blow low blow

But south it is, the Horns the turn
The lows they blow low blow

For once the turn, it’s homeward bound
The lows they blow low blow

And not again, the seas I’ll sail
For lows they blow low blow
