The View

No matter what direction one looks, the view is the same. A wind that is biting cold blowing out of grey clouds over a grey sullen sea.

More to the point, no matter what direction one looks, the view is of the Atlantic Ocean and is therefore unlike anything this cruise has seen yet.

It is surreal to think that Seaburban is sailing in the Atlantic. She has been here before, but not I and if it weren’t for the weather forecasted to be east of the Falklands when we arrive, I would be dancing a jig on deck.

Ships business and weather permitting, we shall have our official Horn rounding celebration tonight. Sir Salty has been everywhere twice so he is pretending to be bored and asleep at the same time.

In weather like today having a fellow partner would make the difference of the world.

Heavy weather conditions are great only when you have enough energy to enjoy it. I wish you the time of your life.
