It’s pretty much dead down wind for the next few days. For now the wind hasn’t gotten above 22 knots apparent. Still, when you’re doing 8.2 with 22 knots at 150 apparent, there’s a fair breeze about.

Today was a bit of a landmark day:I saw my first Wandering Albatross. I’ve been watching for a while today was the day. How they thrive in this wilderness is beyond comprehension. They are magnificent and a study in efficiency. Imagine moving through your world without ever taking a step. It’s easy to see now why sailors have always figured them charmed.
