I’ve restrained Salty by cleating off his lifeline. Otherwise he either would not or could not have restrained himself long enough for me to take this picture.

This is the first of the flying fish to land on the deck. It’s small by their standards but I can assure you Salty was just fine with it.

I found it this morning when doing the normal AM deck check. Salty, perhaps because he had given up all hope of ever seeing anything that didn’t come out of a can, had to be rousted from a semi-coma. Once he sniffed the air, however, he shot on deck.

Still, not a word of thanks. Methinks he’s a mute.
