The last day of 2019 is determined to take one last kick at the can. Me being the can.

I didn’t dare go any further with the iPad or, for that matter, me without my foulies on. Winds are steady around 30 gusting to 38. The swell, like the one looming in the photo, is something like 9-12′ with 3-4′ wind waves. Seaburban is right on her track to the Horn flying the Solent, 3 reefs.

As the wind is down from last night, it’s time to set a bit more sail. This wind is just to good to waste. To be honest, I wasn’t keen on grating out in the black and pouring rain to do the sail handling. Now that conditions are vastly improved, I’m out of excuses. Except my foot hurts. And I bumped my head earlier. Plus I’ve a got a hangnail. It looks like the cabin floor needs a sweeping…..
