My Mom Said

My mom said there would be days like today.

My mom passed away in January 2016. I miss her every day and especially on those days when nature chooses to show us how beautiful the world really is.

For me, it is not the grandiose that inspires. It is the simplest things, the smallest things where miracles are born. It is there that the divine works overtime. My mom knew this and she was forever striving to create hundreds of tiny miracles in her lifetime.

When I see something like this, or my hitch-hiking spidermate, I imagine my mom is still at it.
