No Surprise

No Surprise

All last night we creamed along at 6s and 7s. Sunrise this morning foretold more of the same. No surprises, easy miles, and a chance to prepare and regroup for the upcoming transition.

I’m not normally superstitious but I am careful about doing anything that might change our luck. I keep expecting the Hurricane Center to announce the presence of a Tropical Storm bearing down on us or the forecast to do a 180 and have us beating into wind and waves again. It seems, however, that the weather gods have tired of provoking a flurry of profanity from me and trying to wake Sir Salty.

Fingers crossed and knock on wood, we’re not looking gift horses in the mouth.
