Sea, Sail and Sky

Sea, Sail and Sky

Sea, Sail and Sky

A whisper of a breeze finally made an appearance at 2pm local. I had just worked through my list of ‘when you’re becalmed’ jobs so the timing could not have been better.

The Code Zero is a cross between a spinnaker and a gennaker. Basically, it’s a fancy sailor name for a great big sail. I have one on board for just occasions the only caveat being that it can get away from me quickly. Anything more than a zephyr and the thing turns into a beast set on pulling the mast t of the boat.

With no sounds, no wind and a featureless sea and sky, everything seems as one. All one colour, all one purpose, and all one goal.
